KBSL together with IDS Softwares Ltd India, organized two seminars titled “Maximize Profits Trough Technology” on 8 th August in Kandy and 10 th in Beruwala. The main objective of these events was to pass a clear message across to the Hoteliers, that technology really could assist them to increase bottom line. This concept was well received, as hospitality industry it self is in need of a revelation in terms of technology at a time of trying to get back on it’s feet after the recent set backs.

Mr. Vissal Mathew, Founder director, IDS softwares Ltd did the keynote speech on “Maximize profit through technology”, a veteran in the field, who’s involvement with the hospitality industry runs for more than 25 years. Mr. Rajesh P. Yadev, General Manager Sales, IDS softwares, did the technical product presentation and Mr. Presannah Veerahulasingham of KBSL presented their innovative offerings to the Hospitality Industry.

The Event in Kandy was organized in association with Kandy Hoteliers association and was held at Mahaweli Reach Hotel, General Managers and Managers of all member hotels were invited and participation was very encouraging thanks to its president Mr. Timothy Paldano, General Manager, Tree of Life Hotel.

Event Organized with Bentota Beruwala Hoteliers Association, which was held at Eden Resort and Spa, Beruwala, was another success thanks to the president Mr. Palitha Wijemanne, General Manager, Club Palm Garden and the members. All the General Managers and Managers of all member hotels were invited and participation here too, was very encouraging.

The event has been of immense importance for all the hoteliers who were present, and was highly appreciated by participants for the initiative and the commitment shown by KBSL to enhance efficiency in the hospitality industry in terms of introducing high-tech solutions. This was a successful exercise generating new opportunities for KBSL in the respective industry.
